Mark your calendars for our sixth annual "Non-Smoking Smoker" on August 22nd. This is the great event where you have a chance to learn about this season's Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Team, while enjoying food and drinks with fellow ND Alumni and Friends of Notre Dame at the famous Silky Sullivan's Pub & Grille in Fountain Valley. As in the past, Former ND & NFL Quarterback, Steve Beuerlein, will be our MC. We will have a direct open phone line to Former ND All-American, Reggie Brooks, who is Notre Dame's Manager for Monogram/Football Alumni Relations. Reggie is always able to provide the latest information on local Orange County players, how the team looks as it approaches the first game of the season (Sunday, Sept. 4th vs. Texas), players who have looked especially good in practice, and, a couple of players who will "surprise" Notre Dame Fans this season.

There is no cost for attending, other than each person's food and drink orders. (Bill & Dan Madden of Silky's always surprise us with a couple food and drink "specials".) The ND Club of Orange County will have a supply of this season's "The Shirt" avail- able for sale at $20.00. Every year people seem to find "old friends" in the crowd!

Doors at Silky's are always open. The actual program will begin at 6:00 p.m. If you wish to find a seat "up-close", and, have dinner and drinks, you will probably want to arrive by 5:30 p.m. Seats are not reserved.
